We’re MCS Certified for a reason

We’ve had a few enquiries asking if we can ‘sign off’ solar PV systems installed by another company.  Short answer – we can’t, and here’s why.

MCS rules say the installer issuing the certificate must have:

  • Designed the system
  • Supplied the equipment
  • Installed it
  • Commissioned it
  • Tested it
  • Taken full responsibility for the work

In other words, if we’re not involved from start to finish, we legally cannot certify the installation. This protects homeowners by ensuring every MCS‑certified system is safe and compliant.

So if you’re thinking about solar or battery storage and you want to earn Smart Export Guarantee (SEG) payments for the energy you export, choosing an MCS‑accredited installer isn’t just a good idea — it’s essential.

And we’ll say this with a smile: we’re genuinely proud of the quality of our MCS installations. It’s nice to be good at what we do.
