About the job:
RJ Electrics thrive on geek-level problem solving for commercial, industrial, agricultural and (some) domestic electrical installations. We tend to lean towards the unusual or complex and take over where others leave off.
We’re looking for a qualified electrician (18th Edition) with a GSOH and (safety) boots-on-the-ground electrical experience to help us deliver the professional results we are known for round here. If you enjoy work that’s a bit out of the ordinary and not so run-of-the-mill then you’ll fit in well.
When you get here, you’ll dive straight into our ongoing and upcoming electrical and renewable technology (solar PV & EESS) projects. Don’t worry – we’ll introduce you to our customers and way of working as we go.
Your on-site work will include:
- Maintaining, repairing and installing electrical equipment on a variety of locations.
- Fault diagnosis and repairs
- CCTV and data configuration
- Automation
- Distribution board installation Inc. 3phase
- Electrical testing and certification (computer based)
You’re exactly what we’re looking for if you:
- Possess relevant electrical qualifications (18th Edition)
- Have a good working knowledge of current electrical standards.
- Can perform electrical installation and maintenance on commercial, industrial facilities and renewable technologies.
- Possess a full, clean driving licence.
- Have good basic tech / admin skills (to communicate with the office guys).
- Are committed and self-motivated, organised and tidy (obsessively neat is allowed).
- Are punctual and conscientious and able to fit in with the existing crew.
- Live within a reasonable commuting distance of Dyffryn Ardudwy (LL44) and are eligible to work in the UK.
If you have other specific electrical skills that would bring something unique to our team, we’d love to know more.
It would also be great if you have experience using access platforms and working-at-height training, but don’t worry if you don’t. Training can be provided.
What else you need to know:
You will have use of a company vehicle for work purposes.
Our working days are generally 8am-5pm Mon – Fri but flexibility is necessary depending on the job requirements. Equally, we try not to be too rigid when something comes up for you (let’s be honest, life happens).
We have plenty of work for full-time employment, but hours can be negotiated (we’d rather have the right candidate part-time than not at all.)
Salary is negotiable dependent on your experience.
What next?
Tell us you are interested (call, shout, email, semaphore) and we can arrange for you to swing by for a chat.
